Signs that you are in Maple Ridge

I took a little drive along 128th ave back in February, everything is a lot greener now!. This street is just six blocks south of where I live.

I thought you may enjoy some of the signs posted along the roadside.

This used to be a fairly quiet road, bordered by large acreages and farms. In recent years, it has seen a steady increase in the amount of traffic.

The neighbourhood got together and made these signs in a campaign to slow down traffic and make the road a safer place again.

Some of the signs , of course have been put here by the municipality. This is a common one all over Maple Ridge, also known as Horse Capital of Canada.

I love the rooster in this one!

Deer, horses, cyclists, pedestrians, bears and children, and even buses.....but what about us cows?

Love the signs! So small townish - not like the billboards slapped up all over the city.

Some really neat signs for sure!! We have quite a few "homemade" signs along the rural roads as well and never thought to photograph them. That's a neat idea!

Do you need a hunting license to drive there?
