Kayla with her dad(left) and Uncle Keith (right) on March 7th . Her two best men in the world, will be heading out to see her in Edmonton on Friday.
I only have two days off work, so I will go later on unless she is well enough to get out to BC sooner.
Kayla has pulled through and made a full recovery from her ordeal last night.
Her mom told me today that her Blood Pressure was down to 50/15. I have never seen a BP that low. She recieved a large dose of Epinephrin before her heart finally begun to pick up the pace a bit. The surgeon said the procedure to the lungs went very well but then her vitals crashed. They werent entirely sure she was going to make it through. They were even further surprized after she was stable, that she actually woke up. There was worry that she could have gone into a coma. So Kayla got a miracle. She has been feeling and hearing a couple of saints hovering near her for a few days. She told her mom before the surgery that st pio had told her that it wouldnt go well but he would be with her and she would be ok! The surgeon herself said her coming through this crash is nothing short of a miracle and they are at a loss to explain what happened. Kayla will be having a bunch of scans on Thursday to rule out any clots. The procedure to powder the lung is working, as she has had much less fluid drain today, which hopefully is the last remaining fluid from before the procedure.
She has now been moved back onto the childrens oncology unit and is out of ICU.
Thanks for alll the support.
This afternoon I got word that a dear friend of ours had a stroke and is in bad shape at my hospital. She is in her 80s and has been a little dynamo. I will go see har after my shift tommorrow.

You are going through difficult times Susan, take care. Sometimes we need to make temporarily a little step backwards.
May God be with each one of you, and especially Kayla. My heart goes out to all of you for what you are going through.
Hello Susan, I will keep you all in my prayers. Take care xx
She is an amazing person. This shows how much she is fighting her disease. My prayers will continue for her progress.
I'll keep that 'healing rainbow' mentally wrapped around Kayla. My continuing best wishes.
Kayla is in my thoughts and prayers as usual. She is quite the little miracle girl.
Prayers as always for kayla and for all of your family. Big hugs to her.
We've been down to the Ranch almost every Wednesday, but only go for an hour or so, manage to get in 2 or 3 songs, then back to home by 10:15. Maybe we'll see you down there again soon? Hugs to all.
Sorry we missed you when you were in Oliver. But we were migrating north.
Kayla's story continues to be remarkable, and she remains in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
Hugs,
Deb
Oh, gosh, that poor little girl. What a cruel disease.
I will be thinking about you and saying a prayer for Kayla and for all of you.
sending our prayers to kayla and your dear friend. stay strong, susan.
Thank you for posting about Kayla and keeping us up-to-date. This week I've been feeling so sorry for myself over trivial challenges, and today I read this post and thought how I really need to stop complaining, because people like Kayla are out there not only dealing with more, but also dealing with it in a braver and better way than I am dealing with my small trials.
