Light

And so let your light shine.

Choosing to be positive and to see the good in everything.

The guest speaker at church was from a downtown mission, she works with addicts and street people. She spoke of their families who call her to see if their loved one is still alive, and to pass on messages of love. The reading was the tale of the Prodigal son. The message was one of forgiveness and acceptance. She made me remember how much I enjoy working with such people. And gave me a chance to reflect on circumstances of my own life and family. I am so thankful to God for all the good things in my life. Sometimes it can be hard tolive through the difficult times, but they sure make you appreciate life.
Prayers today for
Ellen who found out this week that the cancer has spread.
For Hilda, My moms dear friend, who lost her husband this week.
For my son David, who will be grounded yet again. Oh when will he learn!
For my co worker Terri who shared the story of her mothers fight with a brain tumor and of her passing, with me last night.
For Kayla, who is finally at home enjoying the company of her family once more.
For my sister Carol, who continues to stay clean and has made a fresh start. She has fought back from addiction an near fatal injuries. She looks forward to moving into her own place soon. She has learned how to cope and how to reach out when she feels low. I am happy she is getting her independance back. Thats huge for her. But I will miss her.
Pray for me. I have judged someone harshly when I shouldnt have. Can someone please help me to get this log out of my eye! SORRY ADDIE!!!
I'm off to work now. My last of five shifts, then I am off for three days! Spring break here I come!

There is indeed a lot to be thankful for, some of which we seem to just take for granted. Also, our own problems usually seem pretty minor when we look at those some have to contend with.

Enjoy your three days off and I hope you can get what you want to accomplish done.

I'm sure all those you have said a prayer for are grateful. We are grateful and thank you. Our sermon today mentioned the Prodigal son.

Your son should be saying a prayer thanking God that he has a parent trying to teach him the right way.

You have a wonderful week.

I count my blessings every day. And my thoughts are always with fellow bloggers who are dealing with health issues. I admire Carol for her determination but she has a wonderful sister helping her out.

Take care and enjoy your days off!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for sharing your light.
