Chocolate Moose

Do you ever have a really big craving for chocolate? Oh man, I sure do. I am an admitted chocoholic. However, I think I have my addiction under fairly good control. It is rare that I will buy chocolate. I have pretty good contol over that. However, if there is chocolate in the house, say a gift or at Easter, I will binge eat it. If it is here , It won't stand a chance. I will eat it till its gone. I just cant help myself.
Sometimes when I am out, driving home from work is a bad time, so is a stop for groceries. Ill be at the check out. You know how they like to stack each check-out with every conceivable chocolate bar. Thats when temptation comes a knockin. I stand there looking at them thinking which one should I get. I could eat it in the car on the way home and no-one would ever know. Then the teller asks how I am and thankfully, distracts me.
A couple of summers ago we drove across the country, to a family reunion in Moosejaw, Saskatchawen. When we turned off the Transcanada Highway into Moosejaw, this is what we saw! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. The worlds largest chocolate moose. This was gonna be good. Heidi, being very much like her mother, also has the gene for chocohlicism. She thought it would be even better to fatten it up before we slaughtered it and sent it the the Cadbury Packing Plant. She hand fed it with love and kindness.
Once it reached its maximum chocolate capacity, we strapped that puppy to the roof of my little red mini van and made off out of Moosejaw, before anybody even knew what happened.
That choco BullWinkle didnt even last to the BC boarder! I wonder if the folks in Moosejaw ever figured out where it went!
Actually it was made of cement and fiberglass, but it sure looked like the good stuff. Hey! This is what happens when you are a chocoholic.

I'm a chocoholic too, and I have done some research about chocolate. Did you know it's actually good for you? Heck, it's practically health food! Dark chocolate is the best. And Fry's cocoa is only 15 calories per tablespoon! You can make a cup of hot chocolate in the evening, with warm milk and some sweetener, or honey or sugar. It's sheer decadence and yummy!

Wouldn't it be something if that moose really were made of chocolate?

That was a cute post. Nice angles on the pics. LOL I've been guilty of scarfing down a secret chocolate bar in the car on the way home from shopping a few times. I'm weak.

You come by the chocolate habit by way of your mother! I never buy chocolate, but once it is in the house...look out. Your dad has a very annoying habit of cutting Mars bars into pieces with a sharp knife. He eats one piece and leaves the rest for a few days. Needless to say, I walk by and pig down the whole lot in one go. He obviously doesn't appreciate chocolate or he wouldn't leave it around to be eaten over a few days. Last week, he bought three Purdy bars, they are a fundraiser for O.E.S., I ate the three at one sitting. This week, he bought another five bars. I have threatened him with having his computer and camera confiscated if he lets me find them, so good chance that he will hide them well.

I think most women have the'binge' thing going. One night I ate a cheap, nasty chocolate rabbit that had been hanging around since last Easter. As I was eating it I was thinking it was really awful chocolate, but I finished it off and licked the wrapper! Not just chocolate, I have been known to eat an entire frozen cheesecake, right from the freezer. I can't be alone in this piggery, there have to be many of us who can eat sensibly for a whole week and then empty the fridge on a wild binge.
