Llama

My middle child has a girlfriend. She is a very nice girl of course, he likes only the best.
She is the proud owner of a llama. She was in the 4H club for years and belongs to the llama club. She shears it, here you see his unique? hair cut. Kind of looks like a giant poodle doesn't it? I imagine her mom calling out "Have you taken the llama for a walk today?" I'm glad I dont have to poop a scoop after that critter!
It wont be long now before we close our pool. We are still having some hot sunny days, but the nights are feeling cooler. We dont have our pool heated so it will soon cool off.

Heidi takes a giant leap and David sees how high he can dive, despite my wanings of broken necks! Even when nobody is swimming, I love to sit near the water and watch the sun play on the suface, casting its sparkling reflection up onto the fence. On a sunny day like this, it is hard to believe there will be a skin of ice covering this water before long! The kids are back to school and soon summer will be a distant memory!

Stay tuned for.....2,996
Tribute to the victims of 9/11.
On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer Bloggers will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11. Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.
We will honor them by remembering their lives, and not by remembering their murderers.

His girlfriend sounds like a very responsible girl. Taking care of a Llama is alot of work i imagine.

The days have been pretty hot here too but in the mornings i have already turned the heater in the car. Of course it could be that i have been spoiled and now that i am getting up early to drop off kids to school, i'm more tired. tired for me usually means colder, :) .

but yes, the leaves are changing already. the nights are cooler and yes, i know winter it's just about to come knocking at the door. i hear that your winters are not as cold but it goes right through your bones. i have been also told that it feels even worse than what i know, much colder. my condolences..ouch...

for me, so i don't get the blues i start concentrating on big things like Christmas...just the presents for 6 kids is enough to keep me busy ;) ..

i hope Keyla is doing better. i hope that you have been able to talk to her.

have a good one. looking forward to your next post. you write beautiful and always post such happy pictures. which btw, reminds me to tell you, how cute your kids are..

There are a lot of alpacas in our area, that are kind of like small llama's. Cute but expensive.

I truly have mixed feelings about the end of summer. In some ways I will enjoy the cooler weather but all too soon it will get cold and wet. Then winter comes. I think I really am more of a summer type person. Changes or potential changes are coming so quickly in my life now that I hardly seem to have time to check on the weather.

A llama, how cute! I better not show that to my kids, they want to know how come I got unusual pets like a monkey and a skunk already!

Keeping Kayla on the prayer list...hope the rest of your family is doing well.

I'm putting my tribute up on Sunday for the gentleman I am privileged to write about.

I would love a pool like that down here in Houston. And I definately wouldn't have to put it to bed in early September. Can you say subtropical climate?

Where the heck does one keep a llama? Does she take it to the off leach llama park for walks? Is there a llama door in her house so it can come in and out? When your son is in trouble with her, is he in the llama house?
