Winter Fun

We have had some more snow with more forecast for tommorow! Yay! I love the white stuff! It looks so pretty.
After school today, we bundled up and grabbed up the "Crazy Carpets" Uncle Keith bought yesterday. Unfortunately, he had to work this evening so he could not join us. From left to right are Keith's brother Norman, Lexie on her belly, Nick, Andrew, Heidi and the lil guy from next door!
Off we went, down the street....
Through the path...
Though the woods...
And finally to the hill. The fence here boarders the school playground.
There were quite a few others already there sledding and snowboarding.
Ready, Set, Go!!!!
There were plenty of collisions and tumbles. OOPS! Nick got run over. That should a hurt, but the smile says otherwise.
I am always amazed when nobody looses teeth or breaks any bones. Kids just seem to bounce so well.
I thought our lil neighbour would have broke his neck with this acrobatic landing.
I refrained from the action as my back would be a wreck with the first ride. Especially if I landed as elegantly as Heidi did here!
"It's OK Auntie, See? I'm not hurt!"

Starting to get dark.Time to go home to get warmed up.

Omigosh, that is too much fun! I used to love sledding when I was a kid. It's just a teeny, tiny bit too cold for me, though. I'm so bundled up, if I fell down, I wouldn't be able to get up again.

I hope you and your family have a fabulous, Merry Christmas.

Cheers!
Josie

I enjoyed the "Crazy Carpet" story. While I'm watching and reading your blog I listen to the song Winter Wonderland by Johnny Mathis and that brings me in a real Christmas mood. :-)
