Today, Heidi , Lexi and I went to the Meadows Maze for a special occasion. It was Heidi's leaving party from her job at Doggie Daycare. She had to leave to go to college. She loved that job, and because of her experience there she now has the confidence she needs to move forward into her future
in animal care. Her co workers were all sad to say goodbye and made her promise to come and visit.
This was a wonderful venue for the party. We had our picnic and then headed into the petting zoo. There were loads of cute little animal babies to see.
The goats and the mimi pigs were adorable , as were the calves. The was a huge turkey wandering around. I thought he was beautiful, especially when he showed off his tail fan. But that red dangley bit was really gross!

Lexi has determined that if this is what a turkey looks like, she wont eat it ever again! Great!
She thought the cows and pigs were cute though. So my son asks her "does that mean you will only eat things that you think look cute and cuddly?" That started her thinking. Looks like another vegetarian in the making!!!!

We went on a hay ride through the corn maze.
The corn is so densely planted that you could get good and lost in there.

There were also train rides in these barrel drums that were too small for me to try to wedge into! Heidi is grimacing as her knees were digging into the steel with every bump!

We got lucky with the weather. It was cloudy for most of the weekend, but this afternoon we got a bit of sun!
Tonight it is pouring down, so I am glad

it held off!

I had to do some catching up too:) I'm glad you all had a good time at the party, but I'm still stuck on your last post...cream, shell white or ivory! I just about peed myself laughing! I hope you don't take offense Susan, but I'm pretty sure those are all the same thing. LOL I'm just teasing, of course...it sounds like you have a tough decision ahead of you. snicker...snicker...snort...If you want my opinion, I think you should go wild and choose ecru. tee hee...okay, I'm done;)

What a fun day! Your niece would get a kick out of the story, "A Plump and Perky Turkey". If you can find it, it's a great story, perfect for Thanksgiving.

It sure looks to me that the corn is as high as an elephants thigh

Hi Susan,
Sounds like all three of you had a great day. I would have love to be there also. What a great place to work. Good luck to Heidi in her future.
I only go to yard sales just once a year. It's fun snooping around and maybe finding that special something at a dirt cheap price.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Faye
