Cheeky Sod

This is a post card I received from my mum and dad. It is written by my dad (AKA Outhouse Capital of Canada, see my side bar). It is a beautiful picture of a bridge he visited while on holiday in the UK. My Dad is a bridge collector. He visits bridges wherever he travels and photographs them. He also collects total eclipses of the sun. Very interesting fella. Click on the image below to enlarge so you can read what he wrote.

Have you ever had anyone send you a card and tell you to save it for them?
Anyways, seems they are having a nice time. LEE, who he mentioned in this text is my Mums cousin.

Beautiful bridge...I must've missed it when I lived there.

Can't say I've ever had someone ask me to save a postcard.

The U.K. is a great place to visit. I can hardly wait to go back someday.

That's a very neat bridge! I'm glad Dave and Pat are enjoying Scotland. Tony was born in Edinburgh. When he was a toddler his mum would take him every afternoon to stand on the railway bridge and watch "The Flying Scotsman" as it passed beneath them. One day there was a different train, and as it passed beneath the bridge it puffed out a huge billow of black smoke. Little Tony was disappointed. He turned a soot-blackened face up to his mother and said, "Mummy, that's not the Flying Scotsman, that's just a choo-choo!" :)

Beautiful bridge Susan...I clicked the backside of the postcard, but the link is missing, wait... I'll get my magnifying glass. :-)

Since recycling is the rage, your dad has a great idea.

Excuse me, but taht it my Cheeky Sod you are talking about!!! He really is the limit isn't he?

Got home last night after a rather rough flight from Vancouver to Penticton, still feeling rather delicate this am., however, having stuffed myself with all things yummy and unhealthy for the past month, I certainly do not look delicate! A steady diet of fish and chips, rich cheeses on scrumtios buns and cream cakes, has played havoc with both our diets. Good salads are not on English menus, just a bit of nasty soggy lettuce on the edge of your plate. Got off the plane in Vancouver and went right to Tim Hortons for coffee, it was soooo good!
My inner clock still on Stottish time, so up before 4.00am this morning and four loads of laundry on the line before dad appeared. No milk or fruit in the house and a bit early to borrow some off the neighbours, so just drinking tea waiting for the shop to open.

Looking forward to seeing you next week.

Should have read through that note before I sent it, looks like I have been inbibing in Scotch Whisky. Just put it down to malnutrition with my poor diet. mom
