Oh What a Beautiful Morning

Yesterday was dark and broody. The prediction of snow was a LIE! We got no snow, just a lot of rain. BUT, up on the hills the precipitation fell as snow. This morning the clouds lifted and we were left with clear skies and frosted mountains. Very nice!

My sweetie brought me flowers last night.
That in itself was enough to brighten my whole day. He sure is a blessing to me. I really don't know what I would do with out him. I am feeling quite a bit better today and even managed to get out to shop for a few Christmas pressies. Reading Bobbies post got me revved up to hit Liquidation world and our huge variety of discount shops here in town.

I got my first winter decoration up last night. My Mum got it for us. Winter branches with berries and wee little bird houses. As you can see, I wove it into my dining room light. It makes a cool display over the table. THANKS MUM!!! We all love it.

Keith sure knows how to make you smile.
All we get is snow snow snow and it doesn't look as beautiful as those snow capped mountains.

Your wreath is a lovely decoration. We are getting full fledged winter over here. It's starting to feel like Christmastime.

That golden, striking sunlight over the mountain tops, is that why they are named Golden Ears? I hope you are feeling much better now. Did she it on purpose when your mum left her curly irons? It was a very good reason to come back to you :-)

I love the decoration on your light! We want to decorate a bit different this year. That's a great idea. Going to town today and maybe I can find something at the Dollarama to make something similar.
We don't have snow either though a few flakes came down yesterday...I don't want it either. It is nice that you can see the snow in the mountains without experiencing it by shoveling, bad roads etc.
Hugs,
Faye

I like the 8:20am shot. Something about the light.

Hope you're tummy is feeling better, Susan. I know what you mean about just wanting a day of lounging once in a while. And these days, as the season changes and it gets dark so fast, all I seem to want to do is sleep. I'm thinking about going to fake and bake just to have the illusion of Summer.
