An Email from Kayla

Just back from her Make a Wish Foundaion trip to London. Kayla sent this brief Email and photo. Doesn't she look so cute with her hair growing back in so curly!!!

I attached a picture of me meeting JK Rowling in her dressing room. She was doing a reading of the first chapter for Deathly Hallows at the Natural History museum (in you guessed it, LONDON ENGLAND). It was super awesome, and she's amazingly very warm, kind and generous (she gave us a huge gift basket full of harry potter merchandise. YAY!) So yeah. It was definitely a moment I'll remember for a life time. Kayla.

What a special wish for Kayla, I'm so glad she got to do that.

Tomorrow we finish the latest book, it is with regret that we bid goodbye to the Hogwarts crowd.

Kayla looks great, we pray she continues to do well.

I've been thinking about Kayla's adventure and I am so glad she had this wonderful time. Thanks for sharing the pic and e-mail. Kayla is beautiful. I finished the last Harry Potter book and then went and bought the earliest versions that I was missing. Now I'm rereading the whole series. It's almost as much fun the second time round.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on Country Captures.

Your blog is terrific! "Courage" is an awesome story of hardship and victory! I simply had to read it twice. So many folks traveling down the wrong path never have the rock bottom moment until it is too late. Your sister is to admired!

Susan, I am also thinking of Ellen and Curtis. As I sat with my Dad, Ellen was on my mind, and I hope and pray she is not going through a similar experience. If only we could make it better.

I agree with monica...I think Rowling is just as lucky to have met Kayla as Kayla is to have met Rowling. I'm so glad Kayla had the chance to do something that thrills and excites her. That's what life is all about.

What a beautiful treat for Kayla. That is something for her to treasure. She looks so happy in the photograph.

I just read your previous post as well. Isn't Spanish Banks one of the most gorgeous places on earth?

Cheers,
Josie
