Wet window

Well, the new windows are finally here. Keith stood in the pouring rain in his raincoat and hood, supervising the delivery closely. The young delivery men, were very careful and unloaded them from the truck with great care. It was pouring down during the delivery. These guys were wearing only sweaters. Its not like this was an unexpected downpour! We have had nonstop rain for days! I don't know how people can stand spending the rest of the day in wet clothes! But they were cool and stylin' in their hoodies! Who wants to take a second look at a guy dressed in a slicker? Oh well, they are big boys. I'm just glad my big boy knew how to keep dry! He may not be "cool" but at least he is not a drip! So now the windows wait here until Monday morning when the installation contractor gets here. The rain is supposed to let up by then. Good news for people who have to work outside.

This past week marked 21 years, on the 22nd, since my Grandma passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. We were so close. It just doesn't seem that long ago. Perhaps it is because she continues to live in my heart and memories. Not a day passes that she doesn't cross my mind. And that there little gal in the middle is me, 41 years ago!

On a furrier note. This same week, the 18th, also marked two years since My dear old cat Granny (Grandville) passed away. Funny how you can miss a cat as much as you miss your Grandmother! Granny is shown here reclining in a patch of sun, besides Copper, our Springer who passed away a year ago Feb 15th. They were such good pals. I think after Granny died, Coppers heart was never the same. I know he wasnt well, but He never seemed to cheer up after the cat died.

A week of memorials. I am glad We are a family of picture takers, so we have many photos to look at.

Spring break is winding down. It has been one of the worst I can remember weather wise! Everything is soggy and saturated! One bonus is, at least the kids didnt have to walk to school in this monsoon!

What lovely memories. My daughter was very close to her grandmother too. They were buddies. You know, when people pass on, we still love them and they still love us.

Can you believe this rainy weather? Lord-luv-a-duck!

Cheers,
Josie
