Circle of Prayer

I want to start todays post with a thought for our friend Vicky in Georgia. She has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for quite some time. She is such a dear sweet lady. A true Georgia Peach! She is the very meaning of the word stoic and rarely complains about her condition. She manages to keep her chin up for the most part. Lately things have been getting increasingly difficult for her. Monica has started this prayer Circle for Vicky, much as she did for my niece Kayla last summer. I know how much all the prayers and kind words helped Kayla. My wish is that our joint positive energy, prayer power and collective good vibes will be felt by Vicky and help to strengthen her spirit in the continued journey through a life of coping with MS. If you would care to send a message to Vicky via her blog, you can make a comment here.

It actually felt like spring today. Sunny and mild, with just enough of a breeze to remind us that winter isn't long past. My dad came down to visit for a few days. This evening he, Heidi and I went on a photo shoot! Fun, Fun, Fun!!!! With weeks of dismal weather, our spring blooms were delayed in their appearance. With a few nice days, all of a sudden, the town is filled with blossoms and fragrance. The cherry blossoms along the highway have gone from the tight buds they were just a few days ago, to todays fully opened glory!

After the trees were all shot, we went over to the wharf. The sun was getting low and thats the best time to photograph that area. The setting sun casts a golden hue on everything, making the river appear so blue and the yellow of the tugs just pop right off the photo! Here, Heidi takes a shot of the tugs.

Just enough clouds in the sky to make for an exquisite sunset. The view of Mt. Baker to the south was clear as a bell and it was made even prettier by the glow of the sinking sun.

It was a nice relaxing day off. I didnt get anything useful accomplished. Dinner ended up being a fend for yourself night and I barely got the dishes done. Tommorrow its back
to the grindstone, so I had best get to bed soon. Have a wonderful Sunday. And Happy April fools Day. Im sure some of you will have some clever pranks to pull. Me... Ill just be a likely victim of some cheap trick!

Nice photos! I need to take the camera out and just go walking around to take photos. I kind of forget how much fun that can be. Thanks for reminding me.

Great photo's Susan. You really capture the beauty of our area. The gray days of winter are quickly forgotten with the nice weather we've been having lately.
Have a great Sunday and hope you don't get pranked.

lovely pics Susan, you really have a way with your camera. Super shots of your lovely trees, all we are seeing here is the first tinge of colour of the fruit blossoms. We have had beautiful weather, but really chilly wind, buds frightened of getting blown off, so still hiding.
