Drama in the Skies

Sunday at White Rock beach. A dark overcast afternoon, with a few moments of sun breaking through the clouds.
These are some of my first photos with the new camera.
I love the somber look of these shots. I think the way the light gleams in contrast to the black clouds and the sillouhette of the near subjects makes for dramatic shots.

I think these pictures make it quite evident that a picture perfect day doesnt always neccessarily require clear blue skies. These dark clouds make for much more interesting photos than a clear sunny sky.

I will share a few more of this series through the week.

lovely shots Susan, you are going to really enjoy your new camera and shots like these are going to be a pleasure for all your blog readers. By the way, why are there no links to other blog sites on your new site?
Dad home late last night, full of excitement about his trip. He managed to get a free trip to Mexico off the airline, by delaying his trip for two hours. It is good for twelve months, so we will be flying south next winter.

Susan---These are just beautiful,I believe it must have something to do with the eyes looking through the camera coming from such a special and beautiful person. :)

Continue enjoying your camera.

Aw, what a nice thing ms. Vickie said.

I gotta tell you, Susan, I know you were joking in your previous post about getting rich off of your photos, but I think you are very talented. You should be actively submitting your photos into contests and such. They are very proffessional looking.

Wonderful photos. I agree that you have a talent for this sort of thing. Thinking outside the box is what you are doing and it's working.
