Cookies, A Tag & Blue Question?

"Now where did Mum put that recipie for Aunty Sheilas Cookies?" Heidi checks out the recipie cupboard. Look at my skinny mini, she can afford to eat cookies!

Ingredients are carfully measured. Most of our baking supplies are in large glass jars. No need for labels. Heidi baked up this batch last Thursday for her brothers meeting at Demolay. Shes a good little baker, but not much of one for cleaning up after! This is a recipie my sister Sheila gave us, if you like oatmeal cookies , you will love these. Want the recipie? Here it is.
Sheila's Cookies
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup oats
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup choc. chips
Bake for 14 minutes on top rack at 350
and, enjoy!

For a change of subject.... Bobbie tagged me with this meme.

The Book Tag
The rules are:-Grab the book closest to you-Open to page 123-Scroll down to the 5th sentence-Post the text of next 3 sentences on your blog-Name of the book and the author-Tag 3 people.
The first two boks I reached off my desk were Davis's drug Guide. I dont think anyone is interested in medication cautions. Then the next book was my Collective Agreement between Association of Unions. Boring! Sorry that wont do either.
The third closest book works. It was out on my desk because it had just been returned to me after Keiths Aunt borrowed it. It is actually a true story written by my Dads Cousin, Kay Hunter. DUET FOR A LIFETIME is the story of Cheng and Eng, the first Siamese twins. Discovered by my Great Great( dont know how many greats, actually) Grandfather. Page 123 is actually the last page!
'And by the Baptist Church at White Plains stands the double tombstone immortalizing Eng Bunker and his wife Sarah A Yates, and Chang Bunker and his wife Adelaide Yates.
Sarah outlived Eng by eighteen years, and died on April 29th, 1892,While Adelaide lived to the ripe old age of ninety-four, and did not die until May 21st, 1917.
White Plains is a quiet resting-place for the Chinese boys from Siam, who became the adopted sons of America, married, lived a full and adventurous life, and died as they had always done everything else - together.'
I tag my Dad, Chana, and Deanna.

Here is a question for you. What is this?

It looks to me like a Christmas Tree and town lights probably taken while passing in a moving vehicle.

It reminds me of the shots that ending up in my camera when I tried to photograph the Blackpool Illuminations last year.

page 123 eh

well let's grab a book

But, unlike Eigg, it all seemed very utilitarian and I got no sense of the men making the place into a home. Each man has his own miniature bunk-room and they share a small square louge. In a room devoid of decoration, three high-backed chairs with wooden arms stood in a row facing the television.

The words are by John McCarthy from his book Island Race: An Improbable Voyage round the coast of Britain, co-authoured with Sandi Toksvig and published by the BBC in 1995. The above passage refers to the lighthouse on the island of Hyskeir.
