Steamy
Mist billows on the nearby hill
Evergreen trees and pine fresh scent.
Air chilled by the mountain snow
Out in the elements, skin exposed.
Enveloped in this moist wet heat
Spewed from within the loins of earth.
Rich in minerals and healing power
I’d soak in thee for hour on hour.
Gardens planned in Zen design
Cedar bridge, Japanese lines.
An aura of peace and tranquility
Take over and soak into me.
My lover, wet and glistening
His manly essence, drowning me.
We float together holding hands
And glimpse the stars celestial dance.
Heat rises into the cool of night,
Steamy billows, clouds of white.
Penetrating to my core,
The Hot Springs Heat or my loves ardor?
Mist billows on the nearby hill
Evergreen trees and pine fresh scent.
Air chilled by the mountain snow
Out in the elements, skin exposed.
Enveloped in this moist wet heat
Spewed from within the loins of earth.
Rich in minerals and healing power
I’d soak in thee for hour on hour.

I Know,I know! The steam got to me ok? All in the name of poetic license!
Seriously, These hot spring pools are soooooo nice. Even though it was chilly November weather, it was so warm in the pools. One of the pools was a lagoon just for adults. That was my kinda swimming! Though there were very few children, since we were there on schooldays. There is a japanese style bridge that divides the adult side from the kids side. It is made out of fabulous yellow cedar. Rock gardens were around the edges of the pools. It was really a beautiful place.

Hi there oopseedaisee, thanks for stopping by holtieshouse and peterspictures, glad you enjoyed the visit, call anytime.
Can we go next time? :)
Nice poem. Sounds like you had a great holiday. I haven't been to Whistler for many years, but we used to enjoy playing on the beach and boating the lake!
My MG car club used to go on an annual fall color tour to Harrison Hot Springs every October and Annie & I loved the place. We usually had dinner at a German restaurant nearby and spent a lot of time in the pool. The last time we were there I had a long conversation with an English gentleman about the future of Quebec in particular & Canada in general. Interesting.
Hi Susan, seems like you two made Harrison even more steamy than it usually is. I'm so glad that you managed to get away, it was certainly a much needed break. You two give so much of yourselves to other people, that it was great that you managed a get-a-way. I guess the surroundings and your sweetie inspired you to poetry, I hope you can keep that peaceful feeling in your heart now that you are back to a noisy household, a busy job and a very busy life in general.
Did you find my bracelet after i left? I put it on the side table and think I must have left it there, I can't find it anywhere here. Please have a look around for me.
Love you lots, take care
enjoyed reading your blog! :)
Mmmmmm, looks wonderful! Poem was awesome!
Hi Susan. Your photos are Great. I did some tricks to make them a bit sharper and gave some extra color to them. Do you have a different e-mail address to send an invitation from the Flickr photo server, so you can download your own photo's :-)
Yes, steamy indeed! Don't apologize, it was beautiful, and from the photos it looks like an incredible and romantic place to be.

Did I really say "Whistler" and not Harrison???? Hmmmm...we've been discussing going to Whistler - this must mean something.... anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your time at HARRISON!

The steam always seems to do that!
Looks like paradise to me.
Looks heavenly, no wonder you got carried away! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Those pictures look absolutely great. That looks like a very fabulous place. I have never swum in a hot spring, but I would certainly love to.
