Spring Renewal

Although there is still a chill in the air, the warm noon air portends warmer weather to come. It is so nice to be able to sit out without a sweater in sheltered areas. But today was windy and if you were out in the open, the breeze was fairly cool.
It wont be too long before it gets nice and hot. Right now I am enjoying the spring blooms and seeing everything greening up always renews my spirit. Flowers are such miracles how they reappear so perfectly every year with no help from us.
I started my new job today. Just in orientation this week, but so far so good. Thanks to all for your support and encouraging words. I don't worry much, I find things just seem to work out when they are supposed to. When you have such great friends and family as I have, it makes new challenges and struggles less daunting.

My Dad just left to meet up with my Mom and return to his home in the Okanagan. He was a great help while he was here these few days. Thanks Dad for everything. Between Keith and him, they got all the plumbing done for the bathroom/laundry room reno. It wasn't in too bad condition, but had no tub and hasn't been decorated since it was built 40 years ago! The only improvement we had made was a new toilet which we will keep. So here is what it looked like yesterday with the walls torn out and totally stripped. When its done it will be brand new, right down to the wiring and all. But GAWD my house is disgusting. I just have to remember that it will all be worth it when its done. Tearing out walls and sawing up the concrete floor made for a heluva lot of dust. Ill just wait till its all done then have a massive cleanup, including carpet cleaning. Now that I will be working less hours, I am looking forward to keeping up with the home side of life more easily. I actually enjoy house work when I get the time. So long as I don't have a book to read!

That's a pretty major job your hubby has undertaken. It'll look great when it's finished, I bet.

Have a good week and enjoy the great weather we've been promised.

Enjoy the new job and remember that dust will wait until you are ready to remove it. It would be great if it left on its own but I'll bet it won't do that. I guess it is kind of like job insurance for a housekeeper.

Congrats on the new job. It must be nice to have a dad that is talented in that way.

Spring has sprung already and summer is here in Austin - way too soon.

spring is arriving here in the east. we had a very unseasonably warm winter, with very little (if ever) snow. the robins arrived about three weeks ago, i love the birds singing.
happy friday from fredericton!

It always get worse before it gets better - but you're a long way there, and soon you'll be lying in your tub with a smile on your face :o)

I too am loving the end of the long chill of winter. Thank goodness for the blazing colours again!
