Haney Wharf
I have decided to try and put more structure into my blogging. Incorporating my photos into my posts is something I enjoy doing. I have come up with my first theme posting. From now on, on Wednesdays, I will be posting photos from my town Maple Ridge under this same heading. Get to know my town, hope you enjoy this .
The old part of town is know as Haney. This is a shot of the wharf along the Fraser River taken at about 9am. There was still a little fog on the river. The damp of the mist made for a nice sparkle on all the surfaces as the sun hit.
Every summer, the city hosts jazz & musical nights on the wharf. You can take your lawn chair down and sit with your ice cap in the lazy evening sun and be entertained. Its a real community feel.
This wharf lays between the train tracks and the tugs. Always something going on. I enjoy mornings there the best, watching the tugs maneuver through the waves. The train engineers always wave as they toot by.

This photo idea sounds good. It may give you a strong push to remember to carry your camera along & get out and use it. This is a nice first example and your story about it helps to complete the picture.
You'll have lots of great places around town to write about. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
I like this idea!!!
Maybe I will do that after I move, and as I learn about my new town, so can all my blogging friends. That is if you don't mind if I borrow the idea.
I like that pic, the play of dark against light is really good.
That's a wonderful idea, and a great picture too!
That's a lovely photo of what sounds like a wonderful spot. My wife and I would love to visit your country one day.
That is definitely a place I would enjoy visiting a lot.
I love the photo! The kids in your post below look great too. Trouble with a capital T! LOL!
Sorry you visited for bad news at my blog. Good funny stuff is on the menu today. The little one is holding her own and her four grandparents have been at her bedside round the clock. Thanks for your wellwishes.

Definitely makes me want to visit Maple Ridge! Great photo!
What a nice shot. I can't wait to see this series. I went to school in Pitt Meadows so it will be interesting to see the old haunts.
Lovely place you live in....
What a great idea,I started out doing daily themes but Missy keeps my blogging so unpredictable it is hit and miss for me. *pouting* However most know just to visit the porch and relax even if I'm not around or I have tried to get it there.
I love this post and will enjoy more as you share with us.
