Canada Place

This is Canada Place Convention Center on beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia's waterfront. It is designed to look like a ship. It juts out into the water and has a roof that looks much like sails. At the entrance to Canada Place is a stand of flags. There are some Canada flags....The Maple Leaf, of course. Also there is a flag from each of Canada's 10 provinces and 3 territories. Aren't they pretty and colourful?
We love to toodle around the Place whenever we are downtown. Especially when there are cruise ships lined up on either side of it. I love to see the faces of the tourists as they are astonished by the beauty of our city. I must say, disembarking at Canada Place, the tourists get a pretty nice first impression of Vancouver. Blue ocean, Mountains all around, and a city of high rises gleaming like jewels. Who knows... Maybe someday your ship will come in.

Guess what, when my ship comes in I'll be at the airport waiting. That is the story of my life for I have never been at the the right place at the right time which has always been the joke in my family. This exact thing has been said a few times. However maybe I can make there looking for my plane one day..lol

I'll be with Ms Vickie at the airport, or wandering around lost somewhere.

Great pictures. :)

I remember Vancouver BC... My neice went to school there for a while. She boarded a big jet plane for school. I was elected to drive her van and cargo to BC from Michigan. I totally enjoyed the trip. Vancouver is an amazing city, and if given the chance, I'd certainly return!

I've seen that before. I spent an Easter weekend in Vancouver several years ago. Thanks for sharing the pic!
