In a couple of days it will be Valentines Day. We will be spending our Valentines Evening at a meeting with our Kids at Demolay. How romantic is that?
Luckily for me, every day is Valentines Day. We dont need an assigned day to celebrate what we have together.
And what we have together is something very special. Our relationship hasn't been with out its rough patches. But surviving whatever challenges or obstacles land in our paths has helped forge a stronger appreciation for our love.
Between work, and dishes, teen dances, bottle drives and car washes. Between science projects and Parent-teacher interviews....we somehow manage to snatch little moments of "us" time.
In a house that seven people share, we relish the rare moments of having the house to ourselves. As often as possible , we go on 'dates'. Even if it is just a quick bite to eat, or a walk around the block. if its just us two, then its a date!
The older we get, the more important it gets to ensure we have quality time together. As I reach middle age, I realize just how frighteningly swiftly our lives are going by. Sometimes I get a bit panicky at the thought of running out of time in this lifetime to spend with the one I love.
some would say that passion and romance only fade with time. I dissagree, at least for us, It has grown stronger over time. I have been blessed to have discovered what a soul mate is.

Very nice thoughts Susan.... How is Kayla doing these days?
That is so sweet, I just wish and will work hard for my relationship with my dear husband to grow stronger...thanks for all your great thoughts.
I am going to my Astronomy club meeting on V Day, mom can come along if she wants.
Susan: A very nice post. My late father was in Demolay.
Sounds like it's Valentines Day at yoiur place all the time as it should be with everyone.
I am so happy to hear of a marriage made in heaven. My hubby and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on Monday. We picked the closest Sat. to Valentine's Day. Every day is Valentine's Day at my house, too. Even grocery shopping is a date for us. Once when I was shopping with him, and was walking just in front of him, I told him to put whatever he liked in the cart. He grabbed me and tried to put me in. I love a romantic man with a sense of humour.
I also have been praying for and wondering about Kayla.
Happy Valentine's Day, Susan. Have a wonderful day with your hubby and children.
Happy Valentines Day
You'r right Susan, everyday is Valentine's Day. Paul & I don't need a special day to celebrate our love. As you we had some rough spots but we got through them which only made our love stronger for each other. I feel bad for those who missed out and didn't touph it out through the bad times. It's great to grow up and grow old(er) with your soul mate isn't it?
Hugs, Faye
Your thoughts on spending time with the one you love are right on target. We never know when that will no longer be possible. I would suggest that you quit the charge for more money as soon as you have enough to live comfortably on and gain the wonderful things you can do with more time by retiring. It was the best move I ever made other than picking out the two wonderful ladies I've been privileged enough to call my wives.
Every day should be Valentine's Day. Cherish every moment you have together because life doesn't last forever. Happy Valentine's Day.
Sweet indeed. But did anyone else look at that photo and think, "hey, that guy looks like Silent Bob!" :)
Truly inspirational. I love a good love story!
What a wonderful tribute to the love you share with Keith. I hope the good Lord will bless me with that kind of love again some day. Treasure your time together.
