It's one of those dark cloudy days, where all you want to do is snuggle up in front of the fire with a warm cup of something. Between loads of laundry and vacuuming and cleaning up the kitchen... that is exactly what I am doing. As a matter of fact I even called in sick for my night shift tonight. The last three days I have had a sour, acidic stomach and a headache. I still went to work all weekend, and put up with it. Today I have felt no better and even have had a couple of dizzy spells. So I think its time to take it easy.
Last week we had a wonderful visit from my auntie and Uncle from USA. they came up for the American Thanksgiving holiday. It was so nice to see them. My folks came to stay also. Head count in the house for a couple nights last week was 11. that's not counting the pets. My sisters also came by with their families for dinner one night. I may have over indulged on the goodies and definitely should have stayed clear of the coffee. The hamburger I had when we went out for lunch on Friday probably didn't help. I never eat beef anymore and it just didn't sit right... but GAWD was it ever good!
This is an old photo by the way. In case anyone is wondering if our old dog Copper was reborn. Its coming up on two years since he died. Funny how much he is still part of our memories and daily, his name is mentioned.
Yesterday Andrew took Binny out for his daily perambulation and he ate something disgusting and unmentionable in the woods. Then he spent most of the night moaning and passing gas! He threw up a couple of times, just that clear bile. He seems ok this morning, but I am watching him very closely.
So its just me and the dog, both with bad tummy's and making green vapors! Bring your respirator if you decide to drop by!
I am got started on my Christmas Shopping, but still have far to go. My sons are easy this year. But I am still not sure about what to get the girl. If only I could put some ribbon on that guy she has been crushing on for the past decade and put him in her stocking! She may have to make do with something more tangible!
By the way MUM.. You forgot your curling iron here!
Have a good week everyone, Sorry I have been away so much.

Hi Susan, I'm finally getting around to the blogs I haven't visited for a while. So sorry to hear you're a bit under the weather, but this too shall pass. (Oops, not a pun! *hee hee*) You look just like me today, as I even made myself some hot chocolate and am going to curl up with a good book. I posted about how rain is preferable to snow today - I just HAD to find something good about it. lol Take care! :D
How nice it is to curl up and stay home. Too bad your tummy is troubling you. It's been snowing and terribly cold and icy outside. So I just wanna stay in, too.
hope you feel better soon...and hopefully the dog will also.
How is Kayla doing these days? Better I hope?
Great puppies.
You're looking confortable in the chair and so do the dogsat your feet.
If I said "great puppies" I'd get slapped around.
I hope your stomach gets to feeling better.
HI SUSAN, SORRY YOU HAVE BEEN UNDER THE WEATHER, TOO MANY RELATIVES AND TOO MANY GOODIES.
SORRY, BUT I WILL BE ARRIVING ONCE AGAIN, TO DISRUPT YOUR HOME AND ROUTINE. I WILL ARRIVE MONDAY AFTERNOON AND LEAVE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. I WILL PICK UP MY CURLING IRON THEN, RIGHT NOW, EVERYONE IS SEEING THE REAL ME, STRAGGLY HAIR ETC.
MAYBE WE WILL HAVE TIME FOR JUST ONE MOTHER/DAUGHTER LUNCH, HOPEFULLY NOT ENOUGH TO UPSET YOUR STOMACK AGAIN.
IT IS REALLY COLD HERE, A COUPLE OF INCHES OF SNOW YESTERDAY, BUT NOW MOSTLY GONE, HOWEVER, YOU NEED A HAT TO VENTURE OUTSIDE WITH DOGS, OR YOU SURELY FEEL THE COLD.
ALL FOR NOW, MOM
I wish I was crushing on someone at the moment. Seems a long time since I met someone who made me feel all weird and happy like that.
