IOJD Campout

As some of you know, our daughter belongs to a girls youth group called the International Order of Jobs Daughters. This weekend they have gone camping. The girls think we organize these events for their entertainment. Actually, the adults have just as much fun!
Keith and I went up for the first night. but we couldn't stay all weekend as we have to work. So we came home today and will go back to pick up Heidi at the end of the camp. We took our niece Jenny up for the night too. She hadn't been camping in years so this was a nice treat for her.

They got all the site set up and then we had a wienie roast over the campfire.

The girls initiated Keith into their group and even gave him a lei and tiara to wear.
He was a good sport and wore his pretty things the whole evening. Our friend Heather, one of the other Moms was there too and organized most of this expedition.

After they ate, the girls went into the tent, and we were to hear endless giggles for a few hours while we sat at the table playing Yahtzee by the lantern.

When we got up in the morning, we discovered our vehicle had been tampered with. But in the nicest of ways! They had got up in the middle of the night and decorated our car! This is a great honor to have bestowed upon us.
On our way home to day, we took the scenic route and I will share that drive with you soon. The weather forecast looks good so the gals should stay dry. Have a great weekend folks.

WOW looks like a great time. It's nice that people can still have a good time together. Just had a minute to spare so I'm waving my hand and saying Hello since I haven't been around much lately, but I've been just a bit busy. Take care.

That kind of camping is different than what we do anymore with the motorhome. Ours is a lot less like true "camping" but is perhaps better suited to older folks like us. I don't think I would sleep on the ground very well now days.

I like the "idea" of camping more than the actual doing. We had a little house trailer when the kids were growing up. I liked being off the ground. It looks like everyone had a great time.
