Circle of Prayer

Many people who visit my blog, also read ELLEN and CURTIS. I started reading their blogs well over two years ago. They are a wonderful couple who only met later in life. Theirs is a love to be envied by many. Their regular entries and posts shared their lives with their readers. Through their writings, I and many others, have come to love these wonderful, down to earth, caring people.
This is Ellen, the day she received 1000 cranes from Bloggers from around the world. Each one folded with a prayer. What an honor to have been part of that project.
Sadly, Ellen has been battling cancer for a couple of years. She fought courageously and has gone on living and making the most of her life. She kept right on giving to others through her generous and loving ways. She and Curtis took every opportunity to spend quality time together. Ellen has become weaker and is no longer able to get to the computer, Curtis is reading her comments and emails to her at her bedside. He is looking after her the best he can, but as you can imagine, He is suffering just as much as Ellen. I am grateful for the time he takes on his blog to update us on her condition and his own state of mind.
My thoughts and prayers are with them both. I pray for her suffering to be eased and continued strength for Curtis. For both of them I pray for Peace and assurance that God is with them.
Brian put it so well in his AUGUST 5th post, encouraging visitors to stop by and leave them comments.
So please go and visit their blogs and leave your support and encouragement. Just click on their highlighted names to find your way to them.

What agony it is to watch a loved one wasting away before your eyes and not being able to do a thing about it. All the tempting little things you cook to try and get some nourishment in a wasted little body, but not being able to be eaten.

Dying people seem to relax and accept their condition, but it is impossible for those who love them to not argue with God about why he is letting someone, so loved, just whither away.

I know that Curtis's deep love for Ellen must be so evident to her, and his presence is probably all she needs. May God be with them both, and to all the other people going through similar circumstances, over these terrible last days of life.

This is a lovely tribute for our friends, Ellen and Curtis. My heart can't stop hurting, but we try to remain hopeful no matter what. You're a good and kind person, that's evident in your post. Thank you.

I hope that the outpouring of love and prayers from bloggers help to ease the pain even just a little. I am so sad for Ellen and Curtis.

Susan, I don't know Ellen and Curtis the way you do, but I have read about them on your blog and on Bobbie's. The blogging community is very close, isn't it, and folks really care about each other. I know everyone is praying for Ellen and Curtis. I wish them God speed.
