I just came across this video on another blog, it was apparently made by a 15 year old girl.
I am a simple person. Not very political.
I have never been pro war. I have enough faith in the human animal that we will eventually move past war and find a way to resolve issues in a peaceful manner. I hope my anti war stance doesnt offend. It isnt the soldiers I am against, but the warmongers who send them into battle. I do have the greatest respect for the people who get caught up in the fighting. The many lives lost or destroyed due to war is the reason for my anti war feelings. I just cant imagine the torture of having a loved one in uniform. The families of these fighters must go through nearly as much hell with worry as the soldiers themselves do.

Oh, that's so beautiful. I can't imagine having a loved one in a war. And I'm like you, I think one day war will be obsolete and issues will be resolved in a peaceful manner. I can't believe the Iraq war even started, and I can't believe it has gone on for so long with no end in sight. How on earth did that happen??

A 15 year old girl made this photo compilation?.... Then it's a talented young lady. Really strong story.
I have great respect for the young men and women in this situation but I have never understood the real reason for starting this war. And above all, you can not win a war when religions are involved. There are only losers at the end.
Thank you for sharing this, Susan. I'm not surprised that a 15 year old young lady did this. I definitely respect the husbands and wives who have loved ones over there, but this war has on average 19 year old single troops. I wouldn't be surprised to see that this is someone's sister, someone's daughter, someone's niece, someone's neighbor or cousin. We are ALL affected in some way by the war.

That is a very powerful video. It made me terribly sad watching it. I wish peaceful solutions were available.
Thank you for sharing this Susan it is one very powerful video. I think this war has touched everyone in some way---some so much more than others. Last night as I watched it, I was without words and could not come to terms with what I wanted to say.
I know this war has had an impact on me---one of my best friends is in Iraq for his second time and it had been sometime since I had heard from him. I always become very concerned when I do not hear from him for long periods of time--The last time we chatted he told me---as if I needed to be reminded he should soon be coming home unless his orders were changed.
I just heard from him and he is back here in the states. So when last night I watched it---and I could not find the words I really wanted to---today I can find them---He was always in my thoughts---I never forgot him and today I am smiling---Tom is home.

That was an exellent video and says so much of the poeple who go out to fight.
They are no different than the rest of us with a job few want to take up.
I sometime wonder how many wars there would not be if the war mongers had to fight on the front lines instead of behind their safe desks.

this is a very kewl video and very moving. I lost my cousin in the war. He is Iraqi and was helping civilians to go back into a shelter when cluster bombs started falling from a plane again. His mother mourns him everyday and we all miss him very much. There are many people who suffered from this war... and believe me things are only getting worse for them.
