The Get-Away

We were gone, and now we are not.

Just a short escape from the daily grind. Two nights at Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa. It was absolute heaven.
Just to be alone as a couple for a short time and to be able to relax and not have any sort of demands. To focus on ourselves and eachother for a change was so lovely. It had been a couple of years since we have been able to get away alone.
I've loaded up some of our photos and will post a few more in the days to come. It was a photographers dream. The weather was mostly overcast, which I had hoped for. The hotel is located in Harrison, on the edge of a lake and surrounded by mountains and forests. The big draw is the hot springs that have been tapped into and piped into the gorgeous outdoor pools. Ill upload those pictures in my next post. Today, I will share photos of the surroundings. The freshly snow capped mountains and the lake.

The Hotel, reflected in the glassy surface of Harrison Lake.

One of the windbreak fences on the beach.

Looking up from the dock on beachfront, towards the mountains.

Looking the opposite direction, out over the lake.

This Dad and his child added interest to this photo, I thought.

Taken from the dock.

We had a wonderful time. Had a chance to be a couple, to be lovers, to be free of our usual cares. The kids were at home, safe with Great Aunt Valerie to watch over them. In the morning we go back to work, back to reality. Batteries recharged, maybe a little more spring in our step? Amazing what a couple of nights can do!
AHHH, now, I wonder when we can get away again? More tommorrow......

Glad you were able to get away and relax.
We went there for our honeymoon, our 2nd honeymoon and our 3rd honeymoon. It really is a beautiful place, isn't it.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
