People Watching

While in Vancouver last weekend, I snapped some pictures of unsuspecting people.
I love people watching....

We pulled up along side a bus on First Avenue. I thought this driver looked so nice, he caught my eye because he was singing. I yelled up to him, "Hi Mr. Bus Driver, mind if I take your photo?" And he flashed me this beautiful smile. But you can see he is thinking, "Another nutty tourist. What? Dont they have bus drivers where you come from?"

At another light, this pretty young lady crossed the street. I love her outfit. She looks so funky and urban. Thats a nice old red bike with her groceries tied to it.

Next to us on the beach was a middle aged couple. They had brought Grandpa along for the day. Here he is digging in the cooler, "Son, did you drink my last Fresca? I coulda sworn there was another Fresca in here!"

Out on the sand, Mutt and Jeff here, set up camp. That is a wooden wake board. A short version of a surf board. They run along in the shallow tides and throw the board down and jump on it. Almost like skateboarding on water.
I imagine the one fellow is saying "Ill go surfing first, you sit here and guard the beer!" And his buddy whines, "No fair, you always get to go first!"

I love people watching, even more so in the summer "grin".
I hope you are enjoying your summer.
We just had our Beach Vollyball tournament yesterday for the Childrens Hospital.
It was hard watching 5000 bikini clad women :D

Again, great pictures! I wonder, when those big ships pass the beach, do they suck a lot of the water off the beach leaving the whales stranded? hehe... Ok, bad joke... Hope your weekend has been dandy!

I did a double take when I saw the girl with the bike...it looks so much like my daughter. It sure is fun going into the big city to see all the sites, eh.
Take care and hope you have a great week.

There's nothing more fascinating than other people. Especially when they don't know you're watching them. Great pics.

I love your "about town" stories and pictures.

I also like watching people. Whenever I used to visit New York City, a park bench in Columbus Circle for an hour would do the trick for me.
