Out From Under The Gloom

Laity Farm

This is a nearby farm that I pass on my daily commute. Today I passed it on the way down to the river to walk the dog. I shall pass it again in half an hour on my way to work. This morning came and not only had the rain stopped, but there was actually some blue skies. It was foggy near the water, but that soon burned off. It is sort of a watery sunshine, but at least the mountains are out.

As I walked along the dike, the sound of the birds was quite loud. I guess they are elated to get a dry day to fly in. There were ducks galore, flocks of them, whirling in the skies. I also saw a pair of bald eagles in a tree on the opposite bank of the river. I wish I could have gotten closer for a better shot. They were making noises to each other, but not the usual plaintive wail, more of a chattering. Maybe a mating call?

After my walk, I picked up my sister from an appointment and we had a nice lunch out together. Then we stopped in at the drugstore and I picked up my Omega.3.6.9's,that is what my herbal therapist recommended. Ill keep you guys posted on any improvements in brain function! While there we bumped into some friends from Karaokee, Phyllis and Jim. It was nice to see them outside of our usual setting. I am so glad that I don't have to work until three today. I don't get many mornings were I can do my own thing. So today was a treat. Tomorrow I will probably have to be in the house painting. Next week my folks come down for a few days visit, I am looking forward to that. I want to have most of our spring cleaning and indoor painting done before they arrive. So now I am off to get ready for work. It will be a nice drive out through the farms and mountain views.

Have a great night everyone. Keep smiling and remember, even when it get cloudy, the sun is still shining just on the other side, we just can't see it sometimes.

Ah, spring is in the air! I don't plan to get home until May so will miss the early part of spring. Of course I will miss allthe rest of winter, too. Quartzsite is warmer & not as windy as Bullhead City. Tomorrow just might be a good day to get my shorts out. Keep taking your camera along with you. You are getting some nice & interesting photos.

Wasn't it a glorious day! It sure helped lift me out of the funk I've been in. Hope we get a few more days like today.

Take care.

Susan,

Such beautiful photos, I love it!

By the way, your blog seems to have some problem, at least for me, if I do not stop its loading when it originally comes up it immediately goes to some commercial site. Not sure if its your blog only, but it isn't doing it with other blogs I visit.

Hi Susan, lovely comments, lovely pics. Dad and I walked Matty and dogs by our river on Sunday, gorgeous day with all sorts of waterfowl enjoying the sun. An eagle skimmed right along the river and landed in a nearby tree. I bet it wasn't twenty feet away, but of course dad didn't have his camera. He was mad as a wet hen to miss the photo op.

I hope the spring cleaning isn't for our benefit, as I have a very unclean home here. These beautiful winter days invite me to work in the yard, not in the house. The dust will be there when it is cloudy, so I will continue to be outdoors. see you in a few days, mom

I had the same problem yesterday as Dee.

I like what you said at the end, it is so very fitting for my life right now.

Canada sure looks beautiful, some day maybe I will see it.

Spring seems far, far away, it was such a blustery cold day today.
