Friday Folk

I might try and make this a semi regular feature, depending on how much subject matter I can gather. I love taking photos of people, total strangers. However, I feel awkward snapping them, as though it is an invasion of their privacy. Sometimes though, I cant resist, when I think I can sneak a shot, I do.
These photos were taken on March the third, when Keith and I went to White Rock.(Click your mouse on the photo to make bigger). This fellow was walking along the beach and his "beach dude" get up caught my eye. I especially appreciated the hat and the 'too short' cords. He was walking all alone, wrapped up in his thoughts. Seemingly content with his own company.
We passed several couples, including this pair of youths. Holding hands. The young man is smiling out at the ocean. His hand stiffly in his pocket. Trying to convey an air of relaxed confidence. I thought perhaps he turned his head away to hide his grin. I wonder if he was embarrassed to show too much enthusiasm to the young lady.
A young family passed my way, looking for just the right sized white rock. It appeared to be a preschool project. I over heard the little fella mention that his teacher would like this one, it was just right.

Dad on the other hand liked the looks of this white rock. That's a man for you... Always thinking that bigger is better. His young son was quick to point out that it wouldn't fit in the car!
I must be getting old. I thought that the parents seemed so young. It doesn't seem that long ago when people would ask me if I was babysitting my little brothers and sister, when I would take our children out. Nobody asks that anymore!!! Hehehehe!

Those are really GOOD photos - they tell stories of their own and that is what a photo should do. Great job.

Very nice pictures.
I enjoy watching people when I am out and about and try to wonder what they are doing. Except those guys that were robbing the bank 3 years ago. I knew what they were doing. lol

These are wonderful.

Photos can tell so many stories.

I like the one of the little boy picking rocks.

I like the pics Susan, if your like me, you are fascinated by all the people at an airport, and take full advantage of the time there to 'people watch'. Or a beach or mall... Have a great weekend. :)

Good photos as yours always are. We sure need some sunshine in the northwest though to brighten things up!
