Thank you letter to Santa

Dear Santa,
Thank you for all the wonderful gifts you brought for me this year. I haven't had such a good Christmas in a long time.
I want to let you know how grateful I am for.......

MY FAMILY

Our Christmas started with my Parents arriving for a few days last week. They live 5 hrs away, a drive through mountains to get here. So on the 21st we had two of my sisters and their families join us for a Whalley Christmas. That made for 18 people around the tables! The kids are all old enough to really enjoy these get-togethers. They played and laughed, truly enjoyed each-other, not a single whine, tear or argument the whole day. Pretty amazing as there were 10 kids here, although half of them are teens. They even all ate their vedgies when they saw four kinds of dessert.

CAROL AND JOE

All our family is so happy and grateful this year to have our Carol with us. She has been through some hard times and has struggled back with much courage and determination. We are all just so grateful to have her alive and happy, that is the best gift of all. Last night she was in the kitchen mashing the potatoes, whistling and singing along to the Christmas songs. That is the most wonderful sound I've heard in a long time.

There is a new addition to our family. Our good friend Joe. We met him in blogland. A troubled cowboy going through a nasty separation. Now he and his children are part of our family, Thanks Santa for this new friend.

BABY EMMA

I got a new niece just before Christmas. Emma Jessica, my parents 9th grandchild. What better gift than a Christmas baby? I should know. My oldest was born on Christmas day, he is 18 now.

ANDREWS CAKE ~ 18 CANDLES

To top it all off, our old dog Copper, has made an amazing recovery from what seemed like a certain death. He still has a tumor, but he is happy and feeling well. He's back to going for walks and sniffing around. I knew last night that he was better when he went to the door to see who was there. He's got his curiosity back.

COPPER

Thanks Santa for all the gifts you have brought for me. Family, friends, pets, and my everloving hubby. It all makes being good so worthwhile. I promise to be a good girl again so you will come back again next year. Love Susan.

What a very nice comment you left on my blog. Sometimes folks think that I am depressed or something by what I write. But you understood.

God bless.

wow, I love this! I know what you mean when you talk about having your sister alive and safe. I felt that way each time I looked at my oldest this weekend. They both went through their own wars and I'm glad both were with their families this holiday.

We are blessed, aren't we, Susan?

What a wonderful post. This was the first year I didn't see my family; I missed Mom and Dad. You have a very large family - that makes Christmas very special.

Please know I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers for our pets have very special places in our lives, they are members of our family. Thank you for being a special lady and friend.

it figures...I get hooked on a great blogger (I'm quite picky by the way) and she doesn't post every day like I usually do. Gee, you must have more of a life than I do.

Happy New Year, Blog Friend
