Busy Kids.

What a most enjoyable day it was. For the most part, it was all about making it a special time for the kids.

First, They decorated the tree......

Joes' Gal, Carols Lad,Carols Lass, My Lil Lady, and way in back Joes" lil Man.

..............They all worked so happily and cooperatively together. Christmas songs playing in the background. Snow falling out side. The fireplace keeping us warm inside. It felt so cozy and Christmasy!

Then......

.................With the help of our special angel The young ladies made a few dozen cookies. Its a really easy recipie that uses jelly powder. We did raspberry cookies and lime cookies. Im surprized how good they tasted. You would never guess that Jelly powder is the secret ingredient. And they dont even jiggle! While they did the baking, I ran around with the broom and vacuum . Decorating always makes such a mess!

Once the baking was done.........

...............They all bundled up and went out to play in the snow. The whole inch of it that we had! They giggled and laughed, threw snowballs for the crazy puppy. He had more fun that the kids. We were all breathless from laughing at the puppies antics. Then they came back in and had hot chocolate to warm up. After that, some of them played a board game and some of them blew bubbles..........{insert photo here... BLOGGER wont let me load any more in at this time}.

We finished the evening off with a hot curry and rice dinner. Sadly Carols kids couldnt stay for dinner , as their dad came to take them home before they could eat. Oh well! Next time!

So, a bust day, but such a nice day. All these kids here and barely a squauk out of them.

These are the sort of Sunday's that make me realize why family is so special.

It sounds like a most perfect Sunday. All the kids look so happy. :-)
How do you make cookies with jello? They sound interesting.

Thank you for the little peek into your traditions. I almost feel Christmassy reading and seeing your photos. Amazing what kids can do with one inch of snow isn't it?!

We did have a great day, didn't we. I love to have a real nice family day with all the kids. They are so happy to prepare for Christmas. Remember when we were kids, and how exciting it was to decorate, and how every single ornament that wasn't Christmas related, and all the books, went away to make way for all the decorations. Also the dusting that was involved.Ahh memories.
